Anniversary Camera Editions

Canon Released a Limited Edition Version of Its Iconic G7 X III

Canon marked 30 years of its PowerShot series with a limited edition version of the G7 X III — a compact camera that's become something of a cult object among vloggers and content creators. The updated model arrives in a new graphite colorway with a knurled front ring and a 30th anniversary logo etched into the body, though its specs remain identical to the original released in 2018.

That original still holds up: a 20.1MP sensor, 24-100mm f/1.8-2.8 zoom lens, flip-up touchscreen, and direct YouTube streaming over Wi-Fi. The limited edition ships in April 2026 at $1,299 — a significant jump from the standard model's $880 price tag — and includes a Peak Design wrist strap and 32GB SD card. Canon also announced two new RF-mount lenses alongside it: a 14mm f/1.4 prime and a 7-14mm f/2.8-3.5 fisheye zoom.
