LIDL offered an ultra-affordable back-to-school range, especially as many parents have faced uncertainty over job security in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. The new range is priced at incredible rates including a sweatshirt for 99 cents, a two-pack of polo shirts for €1.99, trousers for €1.99, leather school shoes priced at €6.99, as well ass kids face masks for €4.99.
Suzanne Connolly, Barnados CEO, said of their ongoing campaign on school costs: “Barnardos has been campaigning on the cost of school for many years and we hope this initiative marks the beginning of all children having equitable access to the learning they deserve.”
