Trader Joe's Sweetened Dried Lemon Slices Make the Tart Fruit Palatable

Snacking on a whole slice of lemon is likely to make one's entire face pucker from the sourness, but Trader Joe’s Sweetened Dried Lemon Slices offer a different experience. As the American grocery store chain notes: "We’ve found a sweet solution to this citrus conundrum: sweeten the slices, dry them to a delectably balanced level of moisture."

The tart slices of lemon are sweetened with cane sugar and air-dried. Even so, Trader Joe's notes that the citrus slices are actually still soft and chewy in texture, making it possible to eat the rind and all as part of a snack.

As well as being able to snack on the whole dried lemon rounds right out of the bag, one may also use them to adorn everything from baked goods to beverage glasses.
