The ‘Lumigrids’ is an LED projector designed to improve the chances of bikers not crashing into things.
During the night, cyclists normally rely on small flashlights or street lamps to navigate the roads, but those sources of light posses several shortcomings. The Lumigrids projects square grids on the ground, making it easier for cyclists to see rough patches, bumps and random small critters on the road. The LED projections will change into rough square patterns if the terrain is deformed. It comes in three models with different grid sizes: normal mode (140x180mm), high-speed mode (140x260mm) and team mode (300x200mm).
The LED projector can be placed onto a bike’s handlebars and is powered by an internal battery or by a cyclist’s pedalling, which also makes it eco-friendly.
