German automaker Porsche introduces its new HD Matric which is noted as the 'light technology of the generation' with a dynamic energy-saving cluster of up to 16,000 controllable micro-LED lights. It is attached to a chip with a surface area that is the size of a thumbnail.
The bright light is built for high-end vehicles and the HD matric is assigned to each headlamp of the car, which amounts to four of the modules that should be integrated into every vehicle. The beams are ultra-bright and are capable of stimulating daytime during the night for a distance of up to 600 meters. It has over 25 patents as the company worked towards ensuring that the graphics are visible at night with low and high beams activated.
