Crisply Chic Cover-Art

IL Magazine Commissions La Tigre Studio for April Issue

The Milan-based art and graphic design studio La Tigre was recently commissioned by Il magazine to create cover art. La Tigre's work will be featured in the April issue, which is dedicated to the history and evolution of Italian design.

Obviously, when an Italian magazine hires an Italian art and design studio to design cover art about the history of Italian design, there are standards that need to be met. If the work looks like it could be found on some grocery store checkout counter, then the magazine will not be very happy with the studio. Thankfully, this is not the case.

Crisp, modern and contemporary aptly describe the designs for IL's April issue. Cool colors like teal contrast cleanly with reds and blacks within sharply defined lines and shapes. The cover-art does well to celebrate Italian design.
