Kura Sushi USA and Bandai Namco have joined forces to provide consumers with a Tamagotchi-themed dining experience this spring as a nod to the digital pet toy's 30th anniversary.
The dining experience will be available at Kura Revolving Sushi Bar locations where diners can choose from Mametchi’s Tamago Tempura, Kuchipatchi’s Matcha Beef Roll and the Memetchi’s Salmon Shrimp Crunchy Donut. The various menu items are launching alongside capsule prizes as well as exclusive rewards for fans to enjoy on their next visit. The dining experience is running from May 1 through June 23, 2026.
Vice President of Marketing at Kura Sushi USA Newton Hoang spoke on the partnership with Bandai Namco for the Tamagotchi dining experience saying, "We’re taking ‘play with your food’ to a new level and are excited to create an immersive dining experience for our guests that feels as rewarding as caring for a Tamagotchi and watching them ‘evolve,’ only with more sushi and less mess to cleanup in order to earn a capsule prize."
