The Tetris block-shaped towers in the gallery above are of the 'Kranhaus' project, a series of mixed-use buildings that will glam up Germany's Rheinauhafen Harbor.
The outrageous design of the 'Kranhaus' towers is by BRT Bothe Richter Teherani architects, and it's meant to mimic the historic cranes that are perennial fixtures within the harbor. 'Kranhaus' will have offices as well as upscale living quarters zoned in its towers.
'Kranhaus' won first place at the MIPIM Award 2009 in Cannes.
