This playful Korean cafe in Seoul was introduced into a residential neighborhood where it needed to make its presence known. In order to do this, the Nordic Bros. Design Community created a vibrant exterior that communicates the warmth and whimsy that people passing by will find on the inside of the store.
From the outside, kafé Nordic looks like a cozy yellow cottage that can't help but draw you in. On the inside of the cafe, what you'll find is a collection of 27 different floor tiles, plus a quirky mix of colors, chairs and decor. Since there's a lot going on in the space visually, the hexagonal, octagonal and quadrangle shapes that can be found int he Patricia Urquiola and Mutina floor tiles are worked throughout the space into other interior elements.
