For the summer, Health-Ade added to its vibrant fermented tea beverage collection with an all-new kombucha flavor that's bright, refreshing and spicy all at once. The Jalapeño-Kiwi-Cucumber kombucha flavor is the newest addition to the brand's line of cold-pressed kombucha that's made with a base of organic black and green tea, and flavored with the juice of organic, non-GMO produce. The small-batch, naturally low-sugar product has an effervescent quality that makes it particularly satisfying, especially as a better-for-you alternative to sodas and other kinds of sugar-laden sparkling beverages.
While fresh jalapeño peppers have a crisp and spicy flavor, Health-Ade CEO and co-founder Daina Trout remarks that "when jalapeños ferment, their spiciness gives way to this awesome smokiness that pairs really well with cucumber and kiwi."
This new flavor will be available through select retailers in New York and Los Angeles.
