Art company K.olin tribu, which is known to collaborate with emerging artists, has joint forces with young French artist NooN to create a flowery porcelain skull sculpture.
The sculpture, entitled 'Fleur Noir,' which is directly translated as black flower, integrates the traditional craft of porcelain making and combining it with a more modern flair by making a skull out of the material. The skull, which is historically considered to be symbolic for death and mortality, gets a more retro and lighthearted upgrade with the addition of the black flower decal. Though, the choice of shade gives it an added esoteric and sinful quality to it.
Only 50 of the porcelain skull sculptures are available for sale through K.olin tribu, which are made for those who wish to reveal a more devious side to their home.
