Phillip Lim Launches the First of His Essential Designs with Kit 1
Phillip Lim launches a new Kit 1 set of menswear designs and this time around, he centers the design concept around essentials that are inspired by streetwear and sneakers. The launches are named kits and there are four in total to be anticipated.
Lim speaks about the collections, “When we were redesigning men’s, we wanted to go off instinct; what pieces felt essential to his wardrobe. It is a reboot and rebuilding of the pieces he needs to create his perfect wardrobe. The kits are meant to be styled within each other.” The first one explores New York City as the main influence. The inaugural capsule has 25 pieces in total including a printed shirt, shorts, muscle tank tops, anorak, and much more.
