There is a beauty to the photo series 'Kiss' by Andy Barter that is both literal and figurative. The former has to do with the serene and simple shots that stem from the pureness of such an intimate act as a romantic kiss. The latter is completely allegorical, since each photo takes on the shape of the yin-and-yang symbol.
Shot by the London-based photographer for the Communication Arts Photography Annual Issue 52, the Kiss by Andy Barter photo series brings two individuals, and thus two worlds, together in one harmonious embrace. Each image is almost as identical as the next. Of course, each person brings a different look that actually does dramatically change each photo, especially if you take the time to really analyze the series, which I don't think you will be able to help but do.
