Kennet Crayfish Spiced Rum Incorporates Naturally Sweet Crayfish Claws

In 2025, Kennet Crayfish Company kicked off a new year by introducing Crayfish Gin with savory notes, and in 2026, the company collaborated with Hawkridge Distillers to debut Kennet Crayfish Spiced Rum.

This unconventional spiced rum—a matured five-year-old golden rum aged in ex-bourbon casks—began with its own rich notes of vanilla, caramel and gentle oak. To that, a blend of fresh orange, ginger, cardamom, nutmeg, cloves and allspice was added. On what one of the titular ingredients in Kennet Crayfish Spiced Rum contributes, The Kennet Crayfish Company CMO Carolyn Bennet said, "Reintroducing our delicate crayfish claw distillate brought a subtle but remarkable dimension: a soft, rounded sweetness that harmonises the spice and enhances the rum’s natural richness."
