Lawson, the popular convenience store chain in Japan, recently joined forces with popular ramen restaurant chain Korakuen to launch the cross-over Korakuen Karaage-Kun (ramen-flavored fried chicken). The ramen-flavored fried chicken leverages the flavorful soy broth of Korakuen’s signature complex Chuka soba-style ramen. The delicious bite-sized morsels will be available at the counter alongside other seasonal and standard treats.
Alongside the Korakuen ramen Karaage-Kun fried chicken, the two brands are also launching orakuen ramen and stir-fry side dishes that will be available in Lawson’s pre-made food corner. The brands also announced plans to launch Korakuen ramen-flavored potato chips with a third influence, Japanese chip master Calbee.
The Korakuen Karaage-Kun is now available with the ramen chips to launch just in time for Christmas on December 15th.
