In honor of July 21 marking National Junk Food Day, try this DIY cookies and cream popcorn snack. The combination of sweet cookies with savory popcorn makes one amazing junk food dish.
This easy recipe only takes three ingredients -- microwave or stove-top popcorn, a package of Oreo cookies and CandiQuik vanilla. Start by heating the vanilla on parchment paper on the oven. Break the cookies into crumbled pieces and combine them with the popcorn. Then, stir in the vanilla and spread it onto a baking sheet to be refrigerated.
Keep them in the fridge for about 20 minutes so when they are ready it's easy to break the cookie and popcorn wall into bite-size pieces. There is also the option to melt some chocolate chips and drizzle it over the entire dish. In light of National Junk Food Day it's the perfect excuse to overindulge.
