Latticed Flagship Stores

The Design Labo Updates the Jun Hashimoto Tokyo Flagship Store

The Jun Hashimoto flagship store in Tokyo, Japan has received a complete makeover thanks to Design Labo. The update focuses on a latticed wood look, or a "wooden kumiki framework," as DesignBoom states, to be more specific.

From afar, the wooden sections surrounding the store actually look like gold. However, upon closer look one can tell the design is made up of intricately structured wooden blocks, something one is not used to seeing in a clothing shop. This pattern can be seen in the center of the store underneath a table, as well as on the surrounding walls, creating a very symmetrical look. For Jun Hashimoto, I would say the flagship store is more of a success than the original (design-wise at least).
