Uber's Jump Electric Bicycles Can Soon Be Charged in Docks

Uber may have made a name for itself in the automotive hailing industry but now the massive company is beginning to focus more on its own brand of Jump electric bicycles. This focus will see the ride-hailing service install e-bike charging stations across the world for its own electric bicycles. Originally, the Jump electric bicycles were routinely collected and charged at a facility, but these new public charging stations would allow the bikes to stay on the street for longer and be more easily accessed by consumers simply walking around.

The charging stations will be mainly centered around specific popular locations, in the hopes of being more accessible to a wide variety of users. An early test of the charging stations will begin in Sacremento, where Uber has partnered with the city.
