Jud Turner's 'Greed Eater' is probably the one piece of art you'd least expect to be making a statement on the way we live our lives today. But look past the scary scrap metal angelfish and you'll find a rather poignant piece of social commentary.
Jud Turner's 'Greed Eater' is made out of old technology. The angelfish attracts its prey using light; here, the light is a quarter. To me, this means that our hunger for new technology driven by profits will ultimately doom us. Social commentary can be a touchy subject, so it's smart to disguise it as a piece of art. Consider me warned, Jud Turner.
