Controversial "American Idol" contestant Joanna Pacitti was disqualified from the amateur singing competition after Wednesday’s show after it was revealed that Pacitti held ties to two key executives with 19 Entertainment, a co-producer of "American Idol."
Joanna Pacitti credited a 19 Entertainment executive on the liner notes of "This Crazy Life," her 2006 album. The Los Angeles Times reported that a source claimed Pacitti was cut "to avoid the appearance of impropriety."
All season long, Joanna Pacitti was slammed by fans and members of the press as a semi-pro due to her two record deals and appearance on Broadway.
