'Jeff Koons: MOCA' is a new documentary short about the hugely successful (and hugely divisive) contemporary artist. Narrated by Scarlett Johansson, the eight and a half minute doc gives viewers a crash course on the life and works of Koons, one of the best-known artists of the past several decades.
Though Koons' complete oeuvre includes many different styles and techniques, he's most famous for his reproductions of everyday, childlike objects in uncommon materials and on massive scales. Perhaps his most recognizable of these is the gigantic chrome balloon poodle that was rendered with no seams anywhere on its surface.
The Koons documentary notes this structure, but it also dives into many different works from the artist's career. The fact that Johansson is the narrator is a testament to the intoxicating allure of Koons' work.
