Casio Expands the G-SHOCK MR-G Collection

— January 8, 2026 — Art & Design
Casio is introducing a new addition to its premier MR-G collection within the G-SHOCK family — the MRG-B2100D model — which incorporates a distinctive dial design and color inspired by traditional Japanese woodwork and a historical blue shade.

The timepiece’s face is constructed with a three-dimensional lattice pattern intended to reflect the Japanese woodworking technique known as kigumi and is finished in hanada-iro, a historical shade of blue. The overall aesthetic reportedly draws inspiration from the atmospheric view of a pagoda at dawn.

As part of the flagship MR-G line, the MRG-B2100D watch carries the foundational G-SHOCK promise of exceptional shock resistance and toughness. Beyond its visual appeal, the intricate dial allows light to penetrate and power the solar-driven movement, while the blue hue "subtly changes in appearance depending on the light and angle."
