Dropping by a fast food franchise for a quick bite to eat often seems like a solo chow down session but the Japan McDonald's Mega Potato hopes to make such visits much more communal. It is an insanely large order of fries that could feed an army. Forget about the burger, this will be enough to last an entire week.

Taking into consideration the popularity of Japanese Potato Parties in South Korea amongst teens, it is only natural that something like the Japan McDonald's Mega Potato would eventually come about. Weighing 350g, or roughly three quarters of a pound, the comically wide container of fries packs a whopping 1,152 calories, it has become the the item on the menu with the most calories the chain has ever sold.
