McDonald's Japan has added a new savory pie named the 'Bacon Potato Pie' to its famous list of dessert pies, such as the renowned apple pie. While most of the brand's previous limited-edition pies have been sweet, the Bacon Dessert Pie poises itself as a savory dessert option.
The McDonald's Bacon Potato Pie is made with real mashed potatoes, cooked bacon that has been diced into small pieces and mixed into the potatoes, and bits of diced onion to round out the flavor of the pie. To prevent the pie from becoming dry or hard to eat, the potato-bacon mixture has been whipped with milk to result in a creamy, easy-to-eat snack.
The McDonald's Bacon Potato Pie is available now, for a limited time, while supplies last, for approximately $1.20 USD.
