Banana Purée Hand Pies

McDonald’s Japan Just Added a New 'Asian Sweets' Dessert Menu

McDonald’s is expanding its dessert menu in Japan with three new "Asian Sweets:" the Salt Lychee McShake, McFlurry Annin Mango, and Banana Caramel Pie.

The new Asian Sweets dessert menu, as the brand has dubbed it, made its debut on June 5, 2024, and consists of three new East and Southeast Asian-inspired treats. First up is the Banana Caramel Pie, which consists of a classic McDonald's hand pie pastry, stuffed with a sweet combination of banana purée, creamy caramel, brown sugar, and condensed milk. Next up is the McFlurry Annin Mango, which is inspired by the traditional Japanese dessert annindofu, also known as almond tofu. Finally, there's the Salt Lychee McShake, which pairs McDonald's signature soft serve with the tangy taste of lychee juice and just a hint of salt.
