This brand new LCD monitor, developed by Japan Display, somehow manages to pack a complete 8K resolution into just 17.3 inches.
What's unique about this TV is definitely the fact that it manages to retain a manageable screen size despite the 8K resolution. 4K panels are essentially 16 times more crisp than 1080p, and this usually necessitates massive screens. The world's first commercially available 8K TV from Sharp measures 85 diagonal inches.
However this Japan Display module manages an insane 510 pixels per inch. The screen also offers a 176 degree viewing angle, a 120 Hz refresh rate and an excellent 2,000:1 contrast ratio.
This TV will likely have a very wide range of applications, and could be popular in medical settings or for serious PC gamers.
