Protein-Focused Simmer Sauces

Carbone's Italian Simmer Sauces Bring Restaurant Quality Home

Carbone Fine Food launched a trio of protein-focused Italian Simmer Sauces, designed to help at-home cooks prepare restaurant-quality meals in less than 30 minutes. "Over the last year we've seen the emergence of two major trends. First, Millennial and Gen Z consumers want restaurant-quality meals but have very little time to cook. Second, 'high protein' is now the most popular dietary approach in America," said Carbone EVP Marketing Christopher Wendling.

There are three signature varieties to savor: earthy and herbaceous Cacciatore, spicy Fra Diavolo featuring a blend of fresh chili and wine, and classic, comforting Bolognese with ground meat, aromatic vegetables, herbs and spices. Since these simmer sauces were developed to complement meat and seafood, they will be merchandised primarily in display cases in the meat and seafood sections.
