Barbier hangs feathers on filament to create abstract geometric shapes and compositions, which become visible when viewed as a whole from a distance. The feathers seem to defy gravity as they hang suspended in mid air from the wholly transparent filament. The fragmented sculptures create a feminine and airy work of art that has to be seen in order to be believed. When viewed close up, or straight on, the feathers almost disappear.
