Intruders Crockery Set is Clean and Contemporary with Critter Intervention

 - Feb 1, 2012
Looking purely at the formal aspect of the Intruders crockery set, the collection seems to fit quite flawlessly into a class of contemporary culinary pieces, inspired by the rectilinear shapes of Japanese tableware and embellished by subtly curving surfaces. However, the dinner plate, the dessert plate and the cup and saucer have been treated to some unexpected detailing.

Suggesting a visit by furry trespassers during manufacturing, Baita Design's elegant ceramic dishes have been imprinted with the footprints of traipsing animals including a dog, a kitten and a bird. More friskily, the teacup is accented with the slash of sharp claws, creating a clever slit for wedging the string of a tea bag. Each object of the Intruders crockery set has been embellished with one creature's gentle impressions and, serving up a bit of fun in an otherwise fancy collection.
