GIRLGAMER and IESF Team Up for the World Esports Championships

The International Esports Federation is partnering with GIRLGAMER Esports Festival to develop a CS:GO tournament at the World Esports Championship in Indonesia. The event will take place in December 2022 and will spotlight national teams competing in various games for a $500,000 prize pool.

The partnership aims to promote inclusivity and diversity within the competitive esports scene and create a safe environment for women and non-men. IESF has also signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Women in Games (WIG) to achieve this goal.

IESF’s Secretary General Boban Totovski stated: “We are thrilled to be working with GIRLGAMER to continue expanding competitive opportunities for women in esports. Hosting the first CS:GO Tournament at the World Esports Championships Finals will be a historic moment for the entire World Esports Family[.]”
