Singapore-based bicycle-sharing service oBike is set to dip into the burgeoning cryptocurrency space by launching a new and innovative cryptocurrency, dubbed oCoin, that is designed to make it possible for oBike subscribers to earn money by riding bikes.
Not only can oBikes users earn oCoins by riding, but they can also pay for the service with their oCoins, creating a fully self-dependent ecosystem. For seamless operation, the service is set to be offered in conjunction with the blockchain platform Tron so that its existing cryptocurrency infrastructure can be leveraged for the sake of transactions and tracking.
By incentivizing bicycle-sharing subscribers to use the service by allowing them to collect cryptocurrency earnings, the oCoins innovation shows how subscription-based businesses can harness the allure of cryptocurrencies to increase market share.
