The government of Indonesia has developed an innovative travel app that is designed to help its citizens when they leave Indonesian borders to head abroad.
A creation of the Indonesian Foreign Ministry, the simply named 'Safe Travel' app aims to empower citizens with all the information they need when going overseas. For example, the app allows users to access information about customs requirements, immigration regulations, local laws and even such details as cultural customs, in order to ensure that Indonesians don't run into any hassles abroad.
What's more, this travel app also allows Indonesians to quickly get in touch with the nearest embassy or consulate in case of an emergency, making it a mandatory download for Indonesians and a great example of governments using apps to take better care of their citizens.
