AirAsia, a Malaysia-based multinational airline, has recruited over 20 airlines to take advantage of 'airasia Super App,' an innovative air travel app that functions as a travel agency both for itself as well as its competitor airlines in the region and beyond.
From Air France, Air Canada and Qatar Airways to KLM, Philippine Airlines and Bamboo Airways, all the airlines that are part of this air travel app network will be able to use the platform to attract customers. With flights to over 3,000 destinations, the 'airasia Super App' aims to attract a wide swathe of travelers from the recreational, business and specialty air travel segments.
With the air travel sector casting an optimistic look forward as many parts of the world gradually open up borders amid the recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic, AirAsia is looking to lead the way by using the convenience of what is effectively an app-based travel agency to secure a sizeable chunk of the market share.
