Brooklyn-based homeware label In Common With introduces its very first collection of lamps, featuring shades crafted from handmade clay. This capsule also incorporates in-house designs alongside items designed in collaboration with Ohio artist Ariana Heinzman. Nick Ozemba and Felicia Hung of In Common With went towards this collection with the goal of changing the pattern of consumption from an affordable angle of custom design. The duo chose to go with a lighting system capsule as it is inexpensive yet effective in transforming the ambiance of a space.
The new collection features three different designs by Heinzman, using textured and unglazed hand-pinched clay materials. each design is highly limited, with only 10 of each made by hand and finished with small cracks and bumps for authenticity. The three include the Dome Table lamp, which recalls a kitchen bowl, the Pyramid Table Lamp, which is more traditional in shape, and the Alien Table lamp, which resembles a straw sunhat.
