The Ikigai Collective 'Yamabiko' tiny home has been designed by the Japan-based outfit as a dual-space house that rethinks the function and form of trailer-mounted homes.
The house design features a utilitarian metal exterior that features a small kitchen with a recessed living room and bedroom loft when entering through the left-hand front door. The right-hand front door will open to reveal roughly the same space, only mirrored, with the two spaces adjoining through the kitchen and bathroom sections.
The Ikigai Collective 'Yamabiko' tiny home is priced at 9.9-million yen and can be customized with a variety of extras like a composting toilet and more. The house could work well as a temporary rental unit or even couples or small families that need separated spaces within their tiny home.
