Although Swiss watchmaker Ikepod didn't necessarily intend to make the reinvention of its brand its main focus, it found that refocusing and making its classic luxury designs more affordable worked to its benefit.
As the brand looked for revival, Ikepod decided to "change everything so that nothing changed." Maintaining its classic use of design and high quality, the Swiss brand sought to make its luxury watches more attainable. Since being bought in April 2017, the company has sought to streamline its engineering and production in Switzerland, working with top watch designer Emmanuel Gueit. With this, Ikepod is able to offer simplicity and quality without compromising its Swiss-quality standards.
As modern design and conservation flourishes, a brand may find a new perspective by bringing a refocused approach to production to the forefront.
