IKEA Shop-In-Shop Adds Home Planning with Tech in a Compact Space

The IKEA shop-in-shop concept brings IKEA’s home furnishings into select Best Buy stores, offering customers both design inspiration and appliance integration in one experience. In 1,000-square-foot mini-stores, shoppers can explore kitchen and laundry room setups, consult with IKEA staff, and coordinate orders while also getting appliance advice from Best Buy experts. It marks the first time IKEA products and services are available through another major U.S. retailer, adding budget-friendly design to Best Buy’s tech-savvy environment.

This collaboration leverages the strengths of both brands. IKEA brings its functional, affordable furniture design, while Best Buy contributes electronics and appliance expertise. Two locations in Lakeland, Florida, and Alamo Ranch, Texas, will also act as free pick-up points for IKEA orders. The concept appeals to convenience-focused shoppers seeking curated home planning solutions without navigating multiple stores, creating a streamlined and inspiring retail experience.
