IKEA India opened up its first store in the country earlier last week and it recently announced that it will be providing delivery service as well. The delivery service will be done using electric rickshaws that run on solar power. The rickshaws will be comprised of 20% of the new store's fleet and it boasts a unique colorful decoration. The transporting system sees captivating multicolor print designs and its small structure is better suited for the country's busy roads.
Currently, the IKEA India store location is set in the southern city of Hyderabad, which is also where the charging stations are installed into its roof. Additional solar power collected will be implemented into the store's electricity supply to produce lighting or any other necessary electric needs.
