Pee-Wee Herman fans are going to want to buy a plane ticket to Los Angeles as quick as possible to catch Gallery1988's Pee-Wee Herman-inspired I Know You Art, But What Am I? exhibit. The Santa Monica gallery's latest show features tons of modern artists (the list is too long to count) showing their love to the odd-ball comedic icon.
The show is a continuation of Gallery1988's awesome exhibitions, which seem to be geared more towards the masses and less towards art snobs, with exhibition themes such as classic video games and iconic comedians. I Know You Art, But What Am I? is a little more niche than Gallery1988's aforementioned shows, but is still fun to check out even for a non-fan of Pee-Wee's work such as myself. The show debuts in the Santa Monica Gallery1988 on the 29th of July and runs until August 19th.
