Marian Goodman Gallery is hosting an artist-honoring exhibition dedicated to the late writer, artist, and curator Dan Graham. The art exhibition celebrates 30 years of Dan Graham artwork and is titled, Is There Life After Breakfast? The art exhibition is also curated by Dan Graham's longtime friend and fellow artist, Peter Fischli.
The art exhibition contains sculptures and video installations related to Dan Grahan's interest in music and film. It also includes a mise-en-scène combining a suburban arcade, part manga, and a video lounge in the South Gallery. In the North Gallery, there are CDs containing Peter Fischli and Dan Graham's exchanges over the years regarding conceptual art practices. A standout piece in the art exhibition is the room-encompassing installation titled Hedges and Two Way Mirror Glass Labyrinth (1991). The art piece is made with a two-way mirror, aluminum, glass, and living plants. Is There Life After Breakfast? will be showcased in New York until April 29.
