These stunning hyper-realistic paintings by artist Veri Apriyatno focus on eyes and the reflections seen inside of them. While these works are mostly done in black and white, a few are color injected.
In some of these paintings the way that the eye looks also reflects what the person is seeing. If something horrific is depicted in the eye's reflection then the eye is shown wide open. In one capture, the reflection shows a bottle of wine and a glass. This seems kind of romantic, which makes sense because the eye itself seems to be tearing up.
This is an interesting approach to hyper-realistic art. The idea of having a realistic picture within a realistic picture is extremely interesting. Apriyatno's eye reflection art is beautifully done and hard to look away from.
