Coty is Making Hydro-Alcoholic Gel to Help with Shortages

Multinational beauty brand Coty has announced it will be helping in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic by starting production of hydro-alcoholic gel to help with the shortage of hand sanitizer on a global basis. The product will be made available free-of-charge to medical and emergency services staff to help keep them healthy as they continue to fight on the frontlines against the virus. The move comes as one of a growing number of initiatives by major brands to help put resources towards supporting healthcare workers and consumers alike in the midst of this global health crisis.

Coty CEO Pierre Laubies spoke on the hydro-alcoholic gel production initiative saying, "As a responsible beauty company, we make our resources and facilities available to help the communities we are operating in during these exceptionally challenging times. We are proud to support the brave professionals fighting on the front lines against COVID-19 by providing hand sanitizer where it is needed."
