Living a life so unlike the modern-day fast food urbanite lifestyle most of us are attune to, this fascinating hunter-gatherer photo series portrays a lifestyle alien to most of us.
Taking us on this unconventional journey is Seattle-based photographer Adrain Chesser. The photographer embarked on a trip through Nevada, Idaho, California and Oregon to capture the lives and rituals of those living off the grid in his hunter-gatherer photo series.
In 'The Return,' Chesser leaves modern-day mainstream society behind for that of a more nature-based one. In the series, we see how these people living harmoniously with Mother Nature in a way that pays homage to the First Nation tribes, which hunted for animals, plants and berries, created shelters and survived in tough terrains.
