The 'Crystal Clear' Converts Waste Water into Moist Air

The ‘Crystal Clear’ is a multi-functional drinking fountain. It purifies water as well as acts as a humidifier for the room in which it is placed. Designer Choi Jinyoung has developed this eco concept to convert excess drinking water left in your glass into moist air that hydrates the air through a spout at the back of the faucet. Just toss the water you aren’t going to finish into the basin for the conversion to take place.

Jinyoung describes the process completed by the Crystal Clear unit as being similar to the effect trees have in the environment. Further emphasising this connection with nature the hot and cold tap is shaped like a silver leaf. By turning the leaf, the water temperature and red (hot) or blue (cold)-colored light beam is displayed in the sink.
