This architectural design in the suburb of Newcastle, New South Wales, is curious due to its structural house support. The residence, built by Melbourne-based Austin Maynard Architects, is propped up by white paper clip-like steel tubes. Named 'Greenacres,' the project is made to insert itself on a slanted property that overlooks the ocean-side.
Austin Maynard Architects did a great job of stylistically arranging the property, while inserting an abundant number of windows (as requested) without "negatively impacting the neighbors." The ocean-side house features a garage "with a set of metal mesh steps," as well as partially slated white facade elements. These stylistic choices tie in exceptionally well with the paper clip-like house support and bring about a harmoniously sound architectural exterior.
