Hims & Hers Health Expands to Weight Management Offerings

Telemedicine brand Hims & Hers Health has expanded its services into the weight loss arena, offering prescriptions for weight management medications on Hims and Hers platforms. While the initial rollout includes medications like Metformin and Bupropion, plans for future expansion include incorporating GLP-1 class drugs such as Ozempic and Wegovy, pending supply chain stability and further studies.

The introduction of these weight management prescriptions marks a significant step for the company. In addition to medications, Hims & Hers is providing comprehensive support, including personalized nutrition guidance, mental health support, movement recommendations, and sleep advice, alongside digital tracking tools.

CEO Andrew Dudum recently spoke about the announcement, emphasizing the importance of ensuring the safety and effectiveness of medications and highlighting the need for more research and consistent supply chains before integrating GLP-1 drugs into Hims & Hers offerings.
