This Rice Field Landmark is Made to Note the Importance of Agriculture

— July 7, 2016 — Art & Design
The 'Mountain Poetic' project was created in order to celebrate the rich agricultural landscape of the rice fields in Yixing, Lianhua Dang, China -- where a series of hexagonal structures were built.

Each varies in size, with the bamboo material offering the pieces a raw and natural look that allows them to correspond with its surroundings well. In addition to celebrating the fields, the hexagonal structures also double-function as duck sheds and resting spots for those passing through the area. With this, Mountain Poetic seeks to bring the community together while also providing a useful work of architecture -- making for an attractive art piece that encourages togetherness.

From the bamboo supports, people are welcomed to observe the surrounding area -- to appreciate the beauty of the land and acknowledge the teamwork that goes into harvesting it.
