Tamas Dezso has won the CENTER 2011 Project Award for his social documentary photo series entitled Here, Anywhere.
The images in Here, Anywhere depict forgotten melancholic scenery, situations and people as the living remnants of the Communist era hidden deeply in modern-day Hungary. The photographer considers his Here, Anywhere series as "capsules of time" that represent and explain the deep routes of contemporary "Eastern Europeanness."
Tamas Dezso, a Hungarian documentary fine art photographer whose works has been published in many international magazines, has been praised for his extraordinary Here, Anywhere series by leading museum curators, publishers and photographers.
The Here, Anywhere photo documentary is on exhibition at the New Mexico Museum of Art in Santa Fe.
