These Healthy Side Dishes are Branded with Disney Characters

Last fall, the frozen vegetable brand Birds Eye teamed up with Disney to give its healthy side dishes more kid-friendly packaging. With a growing number of parents looking for nutrient-rich foods, these frozen meals give busy moms and dads an easy way to ensure children are eating enough vegetables.

The Disney-branded meals consist of Birds Eye's Steamfresh frozen meals in a range of enticing flavors. Made with whole grain pasta and real vegetables, the meals are meant to be a nutritious option that still appeals to children's taste preferences. In order to make the meals even more enticing, Birds Eye added Disney characters to the packaging of each meal and then molded the pasta into the shape of each character. As Disney's vice president for licensing consumables explains, "Our hope is that with the help of their favorite Disney characters, families can enjoy nutritious and convenient meal options together."
