Telemedicine start-up HealthTap offers a few different apps to connect the average person to help from medical professionals, as well as a new bot for Facebook Messenger.
With HealthTap, users are able to get a response in one of two ways: the bot will either pull information from its database to answer a question, or source an answer in less than 24 hours from a network of over 100,000 doctors. One of the best features of Facebook Messenger bots is that they allow interactions to happen naturally with conversational language.
Considering that the Internet is one of the first places that many people go to plug in some of the symptoms that are making them feel unwell, this in-chat app will be a great help to many Facebook users.
